What Can I Expect?
How long does a service usually last?
"In total, an FBC Hayden church service is about 70 minutes in length. Services begin with the FBC Worship Team leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. Sometimes our Worship Choir sings a special song. After the music portion of the service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share a message based on the Bible that instructs each of us how to live in relationship with God.”
What should I wear?
Come as you are. You'll find a wide range of dress at FBC Hayden, from shorts to dresses and sport coats.
Do I need a Bible?
If you own a Bible, yes, bring it! We begin each sermon by opening our Bibles. We teach from the English Standard Version (ESV). If you don't own a Bible, we have Bibles available and would love for you to take one of them with you as our gift.
What about my kids?
"We create a fun environment where your children can learn about loving Jesus and loving others every single week. While you're at FBC Hayden we consider your child's safety a priority. All children below 3 years of age will be in the nursery area for the entire service time. Children over 3 years of age through grade 6 will go with their parents to the worship service. Following a portion of our worship experience, these children will be directed to follow our security approved volunteers to our FBCH Kids Worship. You always have the option to keep your child with you in the service. After the service, you can follow directions to the Kids and/or Preschool Worship areas to pick up your children. They will be cared for and not be allowed to leave until an approved parent arrives."
