Getting to Know Each Other
"We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating, and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at First Baptist Church Hayden a great one!"
First Baptist Church Hayden meets every weekend on Sundays at 5080 State Hwy 160, Hayden, AL 35079.
Sunday School: Sundays at 9:15 am
Worship Service: Sundays at 10:30 am
What Can I Expect?
How long does a service usually last?
"In total, an FBC Hayden church service is about 70 minutes in length. Services begin with the FBC Worship Team leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. Sometimes our Praise Team and/or our STOMP Kids (Serious Times of Massive Praise) sings a special song. After the music portion of the service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share a message based on the Bible that instructs each of us how to live in relationship with God.”
What should I wear?
Come as you are. You'll find a wide range of dress at FBC Hayden, from shorts to dresses and sport coats.
Do I need a Bible?
If you own a Bible, yes, bring it! We begin each sermon by opening our Bibles. We teach from the English Standard Version (ESV). If you don't own a Bible, we have Bibles available and would love for you to take one of them with you as our gift.
What about my kids?
"We create a fun environment where your children can learn about loving Jesus and loving others every single week. While you're at FBC Hayden, we consider your child's safety a priority. All children below 3 years of age will be in the nursery area for the entire service time. Children over 3 years of age through grade 6 will go with their parents to the worship service. Following a portion of our worship experience, these children will be directed to follow our security approved volunteers to our FBCH Kids Worship. You always have the option to keep your child with you in the service. After the service has ended, you can follow directions to the Kids and/or Preschool Worship areas to pick up your children. They will be cared for and will not be allowed to leave until an approved parent arrives."
